All Zilco ZGB & Classic saddles are constructed using the unique elastomeric semi-flexible tree, which conforms to the shape of most horses while giving good spine clearance. Saddles are fitted with high density removable foam panels that are contoured. They can be positioned on the saddle via hook and loop backing to suit each horse's individual shape, providing an optimum fit. These improved models also feature Zilco's new purpose-molded, abrasion resistant wear pads for greater durability.

The sliding backband saddle is designed for use with two-wheeled vehicles, or four wheeled vehicles that have rigid fixed shafts. The unique design of the Zilco saddle tree and use of special terrets allows the backband to slide freely. This has a self-balancing effect on the shafts to give a more comfortable ride for both horse and passengers. The backband can also be locked into position when free movement is not required (i.e.: when using a vehicle with independent shafts). This is done by fitting a neat Conway Buckle (sold separately), which sits below the terret on each side of the backband to restrict the sliding movement.

The short top strap is designed for use with quick release tugs, however a Long Top Strap is also available for separate purchase where traditional shaft loops are being used.
